I would tell him to pound sand regarding the letter from his attorney. You were an independant contractor. You have 10-99s to prove it. He has NO AUTHORITY to tell you that you can't post pics of your work on your web site. Ask him if he really wants to open this pandora's box.

I worked for a company for 9 months. My schedule was 5 am to 5 pm monday through friday. I was an employee of that company, not an ind. cont. They paid me straight time for the extra 4 hours I worked every day. No time and 1/2. After I quit, I sent them a letter that said "To whome it may concern. While having my taxes done, I was informed by my accountant that I was supposed to be getting time and a half for all the overtime hours. By my calculations, you owe me $5,500." They called me the day the received the letter and said "come get your check". They DID NOT want to get into that battle at all.
