Problem With Injured Worker

I am from Ohio and I have a worker that was just injured. What exactly is the process? What happens?

Is there anyway you can finish him off and bury him in the backyard?
It will really keep things nice and simple??

You need to add a lot more...Do you carry workmans comp? Is the injury bad?How well do you know him/her?
If they think you have a lot then you become a target for lawyers??? To many blanks need to be filled in

Agreed.

Typically when someone is injured they go to a hospital or doctor. Typically if that someone is injured on the job then it is the employer's responsibility to pay for medical bills. If the employer can not afford or chooses not to pay then it gets picked up by his workmans compensation.

Heck in the state of IL the injured party would sue the home owner's insurance if you don't have workmans compensation.

In any case you probably want to get this guy back to work as soon as safely possible... even if you give him office work or gopher work... otherwise he will probably milk the injury as long as your insurance allows him.

If you do not have insurance immediately start transferring everything you own into your mother's name so he can't take it from you when he sues you.

It's never too late baby. I gave one of my boats away so the ex wouldn't try to grab it, I gave her a life jacket and told her all she needed now was a life for it.

Re: Problem With Injured Worker

In this state, you can forget about transferring as everything relates back to the date of injury.

Since I have been in business all personal holdings are in the wifes name (you have to be really trusting here) or under corporations. If you have investment properties, each one should be it's own entity and corporate. Cheap insurance.
