Re: Our New Help Wanted Ad.

I'm with the guys that wouldn't get a meeting. If someone has general expectations laid out they should have a good idea what they are paying..if they won't tell me I will assume its too little and not waste my time.

A person that is desperate enough for whatever reason to do things exactly your way may not be someone you want to hire.

I used to be pretty cheap with hourly guys and subs too. I used to have to keep the names of people I had problems with in a folder because I would forget them in a year or two and they would come back to work for me again, with the same result (guess I have a bad memory lol).

I finally learned that if I payed more and bent over backwards to always treat people politely and with alot of respect, I could be much much pickier about the things that really matter to me: work skills and habits and punctuallity for the most part.

Its been a long time since I needed to keep a folder.

BMAN,
Glad I could help. Keep us posted on the responses you get. Maybe we could all learn a little from your experience.

Re: Our New Help Wanted Ad.

This is the one I put out earlier. Seemed to work well. All the responses I got were above par for this area.

We're a small company seeking a well-rounded individual to help us grow our business. Applicant must have a good work ethic, their own transportation, and be presentable. We offer competitive pay, and paid sick leave for the right person.

We work in Edmond, Nichols Hills, and Norman. No out of state travel required.
E-mail your resume and call ********.
No primadonna's or burnouts please.

A company vehicle is available for the man or woman with the right driving record.

Here is an excerpt from one of three ads I post for Tenants for the units I manage/lease in Brooklyn.

>If you are a slob and can not even clean your own dishes properly, do not call!
>If you are spoiled and have never shared anything before, do not call!!!
>If you are Mature, Experienced and like Mellow People who exhibit Common Courtesy in return for it being given, then by All Means CALL!!!

I have NEVER had a vacancy between Tenants.

I have NEVER had to evict anyone!

I have NEVER had a Tenant bad mouth me!

I get at least 5 responses within 20 minutes of the post.

I do VERY LITTLE interviewing. If you respond to my add, you will probably fit the position.

That IS HOW IT IS DONE IN NEW YORK!
