New Shoes

I managed to do a session on my left big toe. Smashed the whole thing. I can't wear shoes as they eventually fill up with blood. I bought some new TopSider flip-flops but feel goofy wearing them with clients. Input?

Re: New Shoes

I know how you must feel, just thank your lucky stars you have a foot to put a shoe on to, I'm also sure every client of yours will ask what happen, I'm sure you ran across a few goofy clients yourself, what did you think of them? Maybe try to wear a sock over it.

Recover fast and good luck!!

Try to send these jobs overseas!!:

Re: New Shoes

I was worried about the same thing with my thumb.

I didn't want to meet new clients and have them think, lets not hire him, he might get hurt on our jobsite.

I did it eventually and some people asked and some didn't.

Re: New Shoes

If the shoe is actually filling up with blood, you might want to consider stitches.

Re: New Shoes

The pressure from the shoes is what causes the bleeding, socks just absorb the fluid leak.

The nail was shoved down into the tissue and therin lies the problem. Most of it has healed with the exception of that interface.

I'm just getting tired of explaining why I'm wearing flip-flops! And this is FL!

Even here, I don't see it as professional.

If a customer says something about it tell them they're lucky the shoes not on the other foot.

Re: New Shoes

I wonder if buying a pair of shoes a size or two bigger than normal would help for the time being? Maybe just a cheap, decent looking pair especially for dealing with clients... then you could change out to the sandals or flip-flops when you're outta sight.

Christ... how do you sleep with such a wound? Lotsa pain killers, I'm guessing.

Thems those bright plastic ones? You see people wearing them ? I saw them on the cover of the Shahile catalog being worn by what looked like a south american peasant type person.

I said to meself, oh boy, If only I could look like him, I would be just to cool.

Sorry about your foot Teetor ,hope it gets better soon.
