Need An Advice Guys "BAD CONTRACT"

About 3 months ago I got a call from an old friend of mine who is in the same field as I 'm but, unlicensed. I guess he had a potential job with a General contractor who was doing one of those City funded jobs that require some sign work. When I got to see the plans I notice the project was kind of large for the money agreement that my friend and the GC had verbally agree upon. I brought that up to their attention but, they stated that whatever Extra charges will be paid by the GC and my friend. They kept pushing for me to pull the permits and to sign off on the contract to get the project going.
Now I'm screw with a contract and already put $3000.00 out of my pocket to finish the work. I realize I screw up but is there anything I can do legally to recover some of this money.

Thank you,

Probably not.

But, would any party witnessing the verbal agreements be able to testify to those facts?

Also, if there are Extra charges, they should be treated with accordingly with change orders prior to proceeding with any additional, non-cantractual related and agreed upon work.

Let your lawyer look at it, which you should have done in the first place. Best of luck

Snow man the guy is not my friend anymore. I thik by biggest mistake was to trust him. Just soo you know I didn't get my license to pull permits. I learn my lesson.
