Re: Merchant Account Comparison And Online Application Site

I just received an e-mail with the various forms that need to be printed out, filed in and then faxed back to the company I applied with.

When I get to my office tomorrow, I would appreciate those that know the clauses and any pit-falls or potential excessive charges in the agreements, for you to advise me accordingly.

Ed

This is the e-mail, plus I need to put in the 3 attached agreement forms.

Hi, thank you for applying for Touch-Pay. Attached is a pre-completed agreement for you to sign. Please sign the application and fee schedule, then fax them back (excluding the fine print) to 404-420-2186 along with:

1. A voided check for your bank deposits with either business or personal name printed. If you do not have a voided check with the info printed on it please send a letter from your bank confirming the routing number, account number, and account name.
2. A copy of either a bill showing your address (if you're a Sole Proprietor), a business license, a state tax certificate or federal Tax ID certificate (something to confirm your business location, or residence if your business is home based.)
3. The attached "TouchPay Schedule A" Fee Schedule (please be sure to sign the Schedule A as well where requested).
4. If your business requires the customer to sign a contract or agreement please fax a copy of it along with the application as well.
5. Please fax over a copy of either a sample flyer, brochure, or advertisement (something other than a business card that you would give to prospective customers), you may create a sample flyer or ad using a program like Microsoft Word if you'd like.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Ed, this seems worth looking into. Last year I contacted a CCCompany and got the hard sell. They wanted me to sign a blank contract, (yeah, I must look that dumb)!
Paypal sounds OK too, I already have a business PayPal account for buying and selling guitars, and that bworks fine. I'll be interested in how this works for you.

Re: Merchant Account Comparison And Online Application Site

I will post the other documents they want me to sign and send back later this afternoon when I get in my office.

Anyone interested in accepting Credit Cards or comparing at which point is makes more sense to use a Pay Pal account versus a Merchant Credit Card Account, should click on the link in the original post for a LOT more information.

I have seen too many people gets stifled in the application process for other companies and I will definitely let you know how simple or hard this company is to deal with.

A wide variety of options for professional contractors may be found on MerchantSeek's website under the Roofers and Contractors link. There are options for laptop processing, touch-tone procession, and terminals, plus with no 30 day holds.
