Re: Kick Off Meeting
Just bring a notepad. We have those quite often. They are really good because everyone involved gets to meet. You start the job off together with direction and there's less he said she said. It really helps build a team atmosphere.

Re: Kick Off Meeting
A notebook should be all you need...
Depending on the project, it can be for the GC and Owner to lay down their expectations about things like job site safety, clean up, hours of accessibility, worker entrances, go over the preliminary schedule, etc. It's basically a chance to get everyone involved on the same page right from the get go.

Re: Kick Off Meeting
These are great. One of my jobs has a weekly meeting, so my guy who is running the job takes notes of all the questions that come up and gives it to me. And usually we get all the answers at these meetings. It works out better for everyone. I usually bring a notebook and my set of plans and specs.

Re: Kick Off Meeting
If you have any special expectations from any of the other trades, the kickoff meeting is a good time to let them be known. For a painter, it might be something like "nobody on the floor in area 32 from the 11th through the 14th", for instance.
