Re: Invoices
If you dont have Quick Books...
I used to use Proventure Invoices Software... I bought it at Staples for $10 bucks... and it is an excellent program... keeps track of everything... |

Re: Invoices
We use Quickbooks for tracking and records, but I use my own template for the invoice given to the client and an excel sheet as a back up.

Re: Invoices
I track everything in Excel and then just copy & paste and put it in a word doc when giving to the customer.
We have Quickbooks, but I haven't set it up yet, and I'm not sure it's really even what we need. |

Re: Invoices
Quick books has got to be the most popular software for Invoicing and book keeping in general. If you are using excel or Works or Office your doing the work too many times.
For 150 bucks or so it is a good investment. |

Re: Invoices
Quickbooks, I don't know what I ever did without it. Invoices and keeps track of payroll and all areas of your business in one place.

Re: Invoices
Same goes for payroll. I only have one employee but I still invested in Payroll Manager for $300/yr. All I have to do is input his hours, the program does all the rest. It even goes online and looks for updates to tax tables for deductions.
It also keeps track of all payroll deductions so all I have to do is print a quarterly report and give it to my accountant. It works out to $.17 or $.18 and hour. Well worth it IMO.
