Insurance for my gc in louisiana

Could anyone tell me what they are paying for gc liability, indemnity, and wkr comp insurance? What are some of the things that they are looking for or require to get coverage? and can you refer someone that reasonable?

Thanks for any advice or recommendations offered!

The only people who can tell you that will be others in Lousianna...there is another thread where a roofer in California is paying 30 some odd thousand for WC, and in Oklahoma, I pay 6. Liability will depend on limits and audit. How much ( like 1 million ) coverage and if you estimate the dollar value of the work you will do. It kills me that they can quote a number, and you are covered...then at the end of the year, or when you do your taxes, you have to let them know how much work you actually did. Say you tell them you expect to do 100k this year. they say fine, that will be $3000...ok...tax time comes around, and your little company did 200k...the insurance guy says you exposed them to twice as much risk, so you owe $3000 more on last year, even though the risk is over, and you will pay $6000 for the coming year, + the audit amount. I don't know if others had this happen, but it sucks.
