I started with Bluecross, then they were jacking our rates every 9 months. We started switching, and switching and switching. Nothing compared to the service or coverage we were getting with Bluecross. You know, you get what you pay for! We are back with Bluecross.

Try going to Buyerzone.com. It's basically a lead generation service for anything. But you have people calling and emailing you with information on their services i.e. health insurance.

FYI - can't stand BCBS but that is what we have too!

Find insurance people that are Independent Insurance Agents. Once you give them info on your company, the type of insurance you are looking for, etc., they'll do a search for you with a bunch of companies to get you what you are looking for.

I would start here. http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/

It has alot to do with what insurance companys serve your state. Some of the better insurance is through blue cross, Cigna, United health.

Over the years I have used many companies but the one I am using right now is Oxford. They seem to have the best rates against other companies with matching plans. I dont know if this hold true for where you live so you have to check what each company has to offer in your state.

health insurance is no joke. the fiscal health & health-health ride on it.
like they say "hire a pro"
get to know somebody in your community in the insurance biz. educate yourself on line, if you want. but lets take our on advice and hire a pro.

or if you want med, health & finicial planning advice from the poolguy, ill be taking consulting work in a a couple months.

Don't be deceived by the "National Association for the Self Employed." It's just a front for an insurance company called MEGA Health and Life Insurance. MEGA owns it! You have to pay to "join" the NASE and then you can purchase their insurance from MEGA. Their policies cost considerably more than comparable policies with other companies, unless you use the a-la-carte option and make the policy so useless that it's like not having insurance at all, just the monthly insurance bill... Just do a search on google using the words NASE SUCKS, or something similar. Buyer Beware.

I know of a good company to go with. Very reasonable rates for those of us that are self employed and in the construction trades. email me and we can talk about this more.
