Help and your opinion needed plz.

I'm a Realtor also. *Edit* Not a Builder.....I meant I'm a Realtor, and not just someone asking questions.

My question is:
How to attract a developer or contractor to be the listing Realtor for his development / subdivision? I'm not a new Realtor, but have only listed for sellers. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

This is what I can offer.
1) An award winning marketing plan.
2) Assisted agent also.
3) Major advertisement.
4) Free professional website for his company.
5) Free professional webmaster to keep things up to date.
6) Negotiable commission.
7) Much more but no need to list.......

Thanks
Tam

Tam,
Probably the biggest draw back that I see is that you claim to also be a builder which would be direct competition with who you're trying to get listings from.

I would suggest pulling up a list of the newly licensed contractors in your area and marketing to them to establish a working relationship from their beginning. You could promote the services that you offer that will assist them in selling their homes and by signing up before they build, it will eliminate hassles for them.

You might also pull a list of the new home builders from your local permit office to see who's building.

Most established GC's eventually get their own realtor license if they specialize in new construction, so I'd suggest working on the new guys.
