Help finding info

I'll take my lumps on this but after several search attempts, I am unable to find some contract verbiage that I had read in a previous thread. We have a few jobs in the pipline that the homeowner is supplying materials. Several of you had posted contract verbiage that protects the contractor regarding consequences caused by the lack of material, missing parts, broken material etc. If you could point me to the thread or post suggestions that would be most appreciated.

Ned

Google search term "site:contractortalk.com HO supplied materials"

The first part is to just search this site - then you have what is the phrase you are thinking of - just remember the lingo used normally i.e. HO instead of Homeowner, etc...

Sean,

Thanks. I wasn't using the correct terminology.

I would put in something like this
Owner supplied materials.
Contractor shall not be responsible for the ordering, delivery, quality or fittness of any owner supplied materials. All owner supplied materials are to be on site available for contractors inspection prior to the start of construction. Any delays or additional work caused by defective or missing materials will be billed as an extra charge at the contractors usual hourly rate and may delay start or completion dates. Contractors only warranty is that any materials supplied by the owner are installed according to the manufacturers installation instructions in a workman like fashion according to code.
