General Conditons (what Is Included)
I am currently bidding on a interior office remodel/expansion for a large national financial planning firm and working with the AIA Contract. They are requesting a break out of all project costs(subs, materials, Etc.) with all unit costs, rates of all subs, profit, overhead, taxes, insurance, bonds. Question:
A line item for General Conditions (pricing) is requested. What all is to be included in the General Conditions? |

Re: General Conditons (what Is Included)
Supervision, engineering, project manager, trailers, computers, portajohns, cleaning supplies, rubbish removal, cleaning labor (rough and final), safety supplies, protection, temp facilities/partitions, temp utilities, security, equipment rentals (generator, etc), temporary lighting, office supplies, copiers, printers, fax machine, phone system/service, cell phone, etc., etc., etc.- you get the idea.
Just as an aside, what's your experience on projects like these? Working under the AIA contract brings a whole pile of responsibilities- are you familiar with these types of projects? Bob |
