Economic Facts Made Me Think More Positive
Here are some interesting numbers that the news outlets dont carry.
There are 88 million homes. Only 54 million have mortgages and those mortgages are only at 50% of total value. This is far from bleak. There is a load of people with money and no worries, secure in their homes with plenty of equity. They are my customers and yours. Dont forget about them because of all the hype and fear nonsense. The economy stinks but there are always homeowners and successful businesses on a hot streak with money, wants and needs. Be the quickest and the slickest to the dance and you will get their business. Every time I fly in an airplane and look down at all those homes knowing every single one needs something right now, I rethink my attitude about trying to earn all that business down there. Dont get sucked in to all the hype. Facts are facts. Only bad news is reported by the major news outlets. The country is still solid and all those free and clear homeowners and 50% equity holders are chilling out a little but they will come around with a little more effort. Hang in there |

Re: Economic Facts Made Me Think More Positive
While we may need to adjust a little bit there is still plenty of work for all of us. It's no where near as bad as the media hypes it to be. I argue with my sister in law because she's in banking. She refuses to understand that just because one sector of the economy is bad that the whole economy isn't also bad.
As the value of the dollar dropped exports were actually going up. Would you belive it's actually cheaper in europe to buy a BMW or Mercedes from America than it is in europe where they are made? I can't explain it but it is. I know a guy who is sending mercedes and bmw's back in crate containers 4 at a time and making money hand over fist doing it. Health care is goign great, although the hospitals are making minor cut backs, they are all still building additions. Federal contractors are doing real well with the war and the purposefully inflated federal spending on construction to help boom the economy. |
