Dodge Reports input

Ok what does everyone think about Dodge Reports? I know a few companies in my area and they said almost 90% of their work is from Dodge Reports. Any input? Im looking to get in on New Tenant or custom home tile work for my guys. Thanks

They're expensive. They often run "late" leaving little time between your 1st knowledge of the job and the bid date. They miss as many jobs as they advertise. The jobs they advertise will have LOTS of subcontract bidders.

They're easy to read. They provide lots of contact information. They usually post all the GC bidders. They provide a convenient means of "meeting" potential customers you might otherwise not know of.

Best use is to aquaint yourself with alternative GC's bidding on projects you typically get involved with.

It expands your contact basae.

It is much cheaper to suscribe to than advertising in any Yellow Pages.

Larger public libraries may have a subscription already which you can scope out for free. If not, request that they do so and they may consider it.

Typically not good for existing homeowner contractual work.

It did not have many leads I was interested in. Most of the work is large commercial.

I do agree many of the leads are out of date.
