Customew warranties

Hi

Just wondering if anyone out there issues their customers with a personal warranty or guarantee of their work on completion of the jobs they do. This is something i need to do but dont know what to write or set it up.
If anyone has a copy of they're own i could possibly use for a template in writing my own i will be truely greatfull. The warranty / guarantee needs to cover a large renovation that i just completed and a large extension. How long should these also be for.

Thank you in advance for any help

Brian

I give a written "Lifetime Warranty On Craftsmanship" which is pretty meaningless but customers like it. I don't warranty parts. When it comes to electrical, if it doesn't blow up instantly when you flip the switch, it will run for 100 years.

A good place to start figuring out warranty information will be to look up what if any warranties your state requires you to supply and build from that.

Good point ARI001, in California all products are assumed to have a 1 year "Implied Warranty Of Merchantability" but this can be excluded if your contract says a product is sold "As-Is" and no warranty applies...
