Building Contractor Or Remodeler?
I've found that I can apply for either a Building Contractor or Remodeler license from my state. Why the difference? Everything I've read hasn't stated any major difference in terms of what they allow you to do. Is it as simple as one allowing you to start from scratch and the other only allowing you to modify? Can I do additions with a remodeler?

The only difference between a residential building contractor and residential remodeler is a residential building contractor can build new homes and work on existing structures, whereas a remodeler can only work on existing structures.
