Appraisel
Trying to get a copy of an appraisal on some rentals.I know by federal law,I'm entitled to one. However the broker is reluctant to give it up.I don't know how the law works though or how hard it is to enforce.I love small claims court but want to weigh my options first.Thanks,Terry.

I don't know where you're from. However, if you happen to be in Florida, the following link would be very helpful: www.myfloridacfo.com/Consumers/ I'd think that each state would have something similar. You are correct, you are entitled to the appraisal. Have you paid for the appraisal yet? If not, that may be a reason why the LO is holding on to it. Remember, by law the appraiser cannot give you a copy unless the appraiser's client (you are not the appraiser's client, even if you paid the appraiser), the LO, give the appraiser written permission to do so.
