Anyone Else Provide Health Insurance?

Who here provides health insurance to their regular people? What kind of arrangement do you have?

I have a plan with blue cross blue shield

I covers myself 4 other people, I pay the full it costs about a grand a month.

I would go 50/50 a small business owner.

Re: Anyone Else Provide Health Insurance?

We pay for the man only, and he kicks in if he's got a family. He can also kick in if he wants better coverage. One of the foremen is a key guy, so we pay him enough to cover his family. About 75% of the guys use it, rest have wives with better coverage. We pay about $290 per man, close to $1000 for a family. I was wondering:

1. If our rates are high
2. If covering the man 100% was normal
3. If anyone else made folks contribute
4. If anyone else does what we do for key guys

seems on par with my rates

2. If covering the man 100% was normal
no it is not

3. If anyone else made folks contribute
most do

4. If anyone else does what we do for key guys
Most don't I would consider it for a long time employee 10+ years
