If people would come I'd plan something. Maybe if we can came up with an industry show that everyone would be going to anyways it would make it more worth it?
How about next years Remodeling Show?

With such varied interests, how would it be possible? Great idea though...maybe have a booth at Las Vegas during the World of Concrete Show.

Re: Anual Contractor Talk Get Togather.

You would have to come up with an agenda. Maybe a round table discussion about the issues in the construction field. It wouldn't matter if you're a builder, Replacement window contractor, disign/build remodeler. We all have some of the same challenges. Lead generation, Insurance issues, manpower issues. I also think that you would have to make it easy to get to like Tampa, Philly or some other major hub. Vegas isn't the easiest place to get to. If you did it in an airport hotel or very close to the airport, people wouldn't need to rent cars. I'm just thinking about getting the most people there. Just a few ideas. I would also do it on a saturday so people can fly out on Friday and fly home on sunday with very little disturbance to their companies.

Or we could do it somewhere no one wants to go, then it will be nice and cheap. Like kansas city, last time we flew there for $60.

Re: Anual Contractor Talk Get Togather.

Someplace with cheap airfare would be good, since we could zip and and zip back out fairly easily and inexpensively. Miami, Vegas, and Chicago come to mind. Someplace near the airport, then we could just fly in and take a cab.

That would be to weird, we would find out the reality of those that are just to much like charcters in a story you are reading. You expect certain things from people when you read their words, some take time to think before they write then re-write, when in person they engage the mouth before the brain has a chance to even respond.

My choice would be on a island, and make a reality show of it were everyone gets free tools and a new key board. no make it a drum set to drown out the sound of the cordless drills.

St Louis is great little town, But haven't I heard about the humidity off the river in the summer ???

One problem with winter get-aways is that Mother Nature can quickly mess up travel plans. You get one airport snowed in and delay and cancellation probelms snow-ball (pun intended) across the country.

One thing I've noticed about NGPP conventions is that attendance is better when more people are within driving distance. So a location that is central to the greatest number of CT members would draw the most people, IMO.
