No, but that's a pretty good quote, at least on the surface. I pay about a hundred more which also includes some tool coverage.

That's about what I'm paying now, plus a tool rider. Never heard of the company before, might want to look into them. Price, as we all know, is not the most important thing.

I looked at their website / about us and put their name into the AM Best, no results. I suggest you call them and have them provide you with an entity name that will come up on AM Best.

Re: Another Insurance Co

Let us not get to excited about this. There was certainly some good advice from We Fix Houses. Do a little background checking. Bad insurance, especially from one that goes out of busienss, will never pay any of your claims even if you cry "FRAUD!".

When comparing rates, we should remember that the different lines of business (JonM is in building a remolding, so nothing more risky than the average) and our size of operations all affect the quote.

As someone who has worked in a broker's office, make sure you aren't selecting a price and asking for a corresponding coverage. Get the coverage you need, then look for the best price out of those. I've seen too many clients drop coverages just to get a lower rates and never think about the risk they are taking on.

Here is the program and the insurance company that underwrites the policy.
