I was going to retire this photo, but I just can't resist. Here is an incomplete photo of guns that I own. Among them are a Bostich and Paslode roofing guns. Both have been trouble free. They are paid for and don't take up alot of room, so even though I'm a one man show, I want all of them.

Palm nailers don't count as "guns"

Why do you own so many cordless framing guns? Do you not like to use air when framing? We only use our Impulses once in a great while for punchout or truss braces.

You are a one man show with 2 hands.....why do you have 3 paslode cordless framers? I understand, one in each hand, on nailing frenzy! But unless you have a prehensile tail....where is that 3rd gun?!

Best gun on the market today, Hitachi hands down.
Best coil nailer ever, Bostich RidgeRunner....heavy as a boat anchor but fast as heck and never let me down.
Gonna show my age here, Best stapler (before coil guns where invented) Paslode Magnum with an auto valve.

I like the Senco Roofing Pro 450. It's a coil roofing nailer operated@90psi.

works great- but suffers a nail jam every other coil, it seems.

Just bought an almost new Porter Cable at an auction fo $50! Used it on a new shed roof and liked it. I always have used Bostich in the past for roofing guns. Was going to sell it, now I may keep it!!

2ndGen, I have decided to share some info with you that you will never forget. Try to remember it was roof-lover who told you...

Stop using the WD40 to clean your gun.
Yes, i know it is very handy(spray can) and does a good job of cleaning the gun. I did it for years myself.

But if you stop using the wd40, you wont have to clean your gun everyday. (usually multiple times)
I hardly ever clean my guns anymore.

Once you clean your gun with the wd40, it looks real nice and clean
but it leaves behind a unseen sticky residue that results in you having to clean it multiple times a day. The asphalt in the shingles sticks to the dried wd40 like glue. The safety jams up with asphalt and the piston drags it all back up into the cylinder.

Use the long bristle tool cleaning brush and mineral spirits. I'll bet you wont have to clean your gun again for a long time.

I keep that one specifically for light duty, punchlist work. I bought two used, they are the ones to get abused.

Palm nailers may not be guns, but they'll go where no gun nor hammer can at times, so they stay in the pic.
As for the framing guns, I bought one new, then was offered a great deal on the other two framers and the angled trim from a builder I used to frame for. I'm a sucker for a good deal. I do have two sons up and coming who will appreciate one of them in there personal collection someday.

What's up RL.

Actually, I did stop using WD40 a long time ago.

I now use Pneumatic Specific spray cleaners/lubes exclusively since I discovered a Paslode product at the local store.

Thanks for the advice though!

Yeah, I'm waiting to see some reviews on them (along with their other guns).

Anybody know of any testing yet?

Kid you now...I have no personal clothes.

Sometimes I even go to Church with clothes that read "Carhartt" on them!

LOL!

I have nothing personally...I have more tools/equipment than I have personal items!

LOL!
