Truss Spacing

I am starting working on a new job and am looking at some trusses that are already in place. I am wondering in south florida what the minimum codes are for truss spacing with 3/4 inch sheathing.

Re: Truss Spacing

So FL is divided up into wind zones and you have to know where your structure is in regards to them. Most of the new construction here is out west and I see them still on 24's. Personally, I wouldn't go any less than 16's (you get more tiedowns that way). Remember, around here it's not the load but the lift that's important. Try here for min's.

Re: Truss Spacing

The span, lumber, and webbing have a lot to do with what they can carry individually and the required spacing to carry the deadloads. If I have a smaller building, the 3/4" sheathing wouldn't play a big factor in my truss spacing where as on a 40' building, it may require a 16" O.C.
