Torch Down Flashing A New Pipe Penetration

Whole roof is getting redone next year for budget reasons. I need to install a new pipe flashing for a new hole. How would I flash this good enough to last until the whole thing gets redone?

I don't have a lot experience with torch downs (just repairs on them), but could you take an aluminum roof boot (such as an Oatey no-caulk) and slide that down over the pipe. Then take a piece of torch down roofing cut that out around the roof boot (but not the flange) and torch it down?

Re: Torch Down Flashing A New Pipe Penetration

Haven't seen it in ages and really haven't looked for it wholesale-supplier wise in 15 years... Neoprene Gasket seal. Used it a lot with EDPM to metal flashing on remodels. Notches in new roofs for windows. Sealing new and existing scuppers on torch downs. FLW and all those 'modernist' archy's created many a flat roof nightmare.

One job took a torchdown to even flatter EDPM roof for an addition. Used the neoprene gutter seal under the carefully pryed up roofing to seal to flashing slid under then laying over the rubber. Lasted 15 years at least. Did work for those people up till selling their home.

That flashing cement might be regional. What I'm looking for is a trowel consistency fibered asphalt cement, right?
