Tile Roof Prices...

Hey guys we did a roof cover over a deck and the house had red spanish barrel tile roof (track home by no means a top quality product) Anyways a quick description. 14' X 12'6" (each side) 5/12 pitch 12'6" of ridge and about 28 total feet of rakes. Even if they tear off back a bit to tie in nice still less than a 5 SQ job. Roofer wants more than $2,000 for this project. Does this really sound in line?

We did a garage 20x24 with 1' overhangs all around 6/12 pitch about 2.5 years ago and that entire job was only $2,400.

Have prices really gone up that much? Or is this guy trying to dick with me. His pricing on other roofing is definetly in line and have no problem with that this just seems way high. I figured $1,700 or maybe a little more.

Thanks for some input.

sounds like his price is a little cheap.$ 20. per square foot would not be unusual for a Ludowici roof tile install.

I'm in Northern California...charge more than that for 5 sqs of tile. Seems fair.

Good thing you realized you got a deal.

My prices before I knew what to charge 15 + years ago would have been higher than that.
