Talking To Insurance Company For Customer

I've heard of Roofing contractors going into neighborhoods that have had dime size Hail or smaller and knocking on doors and telling the Homeowners they need a new roof and that they won't have to deal with the insurance co. themselves.
What approach do you take with the insurance co. to make this happen?

Its black and white to me. They either have damage or they dont.

If they do, then I will guide them thru the steps that they need to take.

The only thing I see is that they get one house then they can say, well that one got it, why not this one. Other than that just keep bugging them, maybe. We don't argue with them too much. Too many of these storm chaser wanna be roofers and homeowners took advantage of ins. companies. They are cracking down and giving their own prices now in my area.

What is the criteria needed to get paid for hail damage?
Is it 10 spots in a 10' x 10' area or what?
What do you need to show an agent when you call him out after a dime size hail storm?
