Re: Sub Out Ss Steel Roofing

I've seen stainless steel gutters, or so I was told. It looked alot like galvanized.

Young I am lucky enough to have a nice list of subcontractors. I call 'em up and ask what's what and get good guestimated pricing based upon the details I gave to them. I have a few guys who do standing seam roofs. Kynar steel, the kind that is pre-painted, costs me about $10 for labor and material to put down per square foot. Obviously detail work and pitch costs more. This is for the Chicago area.

The Chrysler building has all stainless steel upper facade/roofing.

I have seen, but never installed stainless roofing.
