South Florida Pricing Question

Anyone know what a tile roof is going for down in South Florida. Tear off and replace. Standard and light weight. Thanks.

Re: South Florida Pricing Question

I can't help you either, tile was #2 on the list but only the flat, concrete type. All of that faux spanish stuff bites. Mom lost a few ridge tiles last year that only cost a few hundred bucks to replace but a lot of people lost field tiles and paid more than the total cost of my metal roof.

Between $1,000 and $100,000.00

Contact Darryl from this forum. He does ALOT of tile work and is based in Port St. Lucie, FL. I hear he has the hook up on roof tiles and has half the wait time of most other roofers.

You are really asking an unanswerable question. Size? Pitch? Stories? You gave us nowhere near enough information to formulate any sort of logical answer.

Tom, you left out the 'out of country' workers who cut tiles with hammers and throw 2/3's of them away. First hand experience.

Re: South Florida Pricing Question

standard 5-12 pitch, one story. Just wondering a ball park per square price. I know that 3 tab comp goes for around 200 to 250 per square. Just wondering what guys were getting for tile down there.

Re: South Florida Pricing Question

I think, from what Shane and Darryl have shared with us, $1,000.00 a square is on the low end.

I think a remainder tile is unusable, after it is cut, that might be why they throw them away.

Re: South Florida Pricing Question

Yeah last bid I put in for tile was $1200 plus flashings. I've never done an S tile roof... bid a few though.

One of my subs has done a bunch and keeps encouraging me to bid more but I'm not interested in promoting any service until I have a few refrences under my belt, which means I am waiting for one to fall in my lap.
