Soffit And Fascia Pricing

I am attempting to price up some soffit and fascia for a customer, we did his roof a couple of years ago.

Material :Aluminum.
Chicago suburbs.

3 smaller dormers on roof. off of 6/12 porch
1 foot overhangs
some gables go from 1 story 18 ft long rafter 12/12 roof pitch
some fascia 2 stories up ( 40 lf or so )
Mostly 1 story eaves that go up with gables
No gutters

Do not realy do to much of this kind of work but just need a decent range.

I am thinking 4.50 sq. ft for soffit and 8.50 lf. for fascia.

Not realy bidding the job but do not want appear way out there.

Input would be appreciated.

*After some thought, I not going to use the sq. ft. pricing. Im going to figure by how long it would take, that 4.50 sq. ft for soffit seems much to low.*
Thanks anyway

For me, it depends on how wide the soffit is, when I calculate the costs, but I would have those prices reversed that you listed, but to each his own.

The soffit takes longer to install than the fascia.

Your prices are almost exact of what I charge for a typicall S & F add on to my roof price.

Same area as you too. Which suburb are you from?

I like those numbers a bit better. Comes to almost what I calculated time and material.

Shop is in Aurora, office/home is out in the country 40 some miles S.W of Naperville.
Moved out here 6 yrs ago. Feel at home working the suburbs though. Just finished a home show in Glen Ellyn.

Country, is nice to live, less congestion , much clearer sky at night, quieter.

eastern NC ... don't do a lot of it but soffit and facia on a single story, I usually go about 12-14@ Lf combined. Freeze add maybe 1.50-2.00 more. Prices vary with difficulty factor.

I was in your town for the Harley gig for the travelling war memorial.

One of my best friends lives at the top of ne of those hills looking down on the town.

Re: Soffit And Fascia Pricing

I dont know about the traveling war memorial , but there is the middle east conflict wall memorial, the only one in the country. Perhaps they are one in the same.
I am not involved in that activity and dont realy know many people.
We live outside of town.

Thanks for all the input guys.

I look at the forum from time to time but dont reply much these days.

Re: Soffit And Fascia Pricing

$8.50 for fascia and soffit with a 1' over hang if more than total 100'. If doing fascia and soffit only add $2. If taller than a 32' ladder add $2. Dormers may cost more if the roof is steep. If there is any prep work that'll cost more too. The goal is to make $1,000 per day (or $750 per half day) after all expenses (labor, material & commission) are paid .

Subs will do it for $5.50 a foot.
