Snow Break Gutters

Anyone heard of a gutter system that incorporates a snow brake/snow block? Friend of mine has a 12/12 steel roof and needs something for the snow and this guy is selling these gutters that apparently perform this function. We're talking about 18' up the roof. I don't have a brand name for you.
