small rubber roof repair

I've done plenty of asphalt roof work but not rubber. I have a customer who has a rubber roof which is leaking around a skylight. ( I know, skylights in a flat roof (2/12 max),in New England, not a good idea, but it is what it is--at least it's curbed). Anyway, is there a caulking or roof cement made for rubber roofs that I can use to caulk or "butter" around the skylight? Maybe when I get up there, I'll find a hole from a branch or something relatively small, but I still want to use the right product and not just any old silicone or geocel. I also assume I'll have to use some rubber cleaner first, right?

It's just such a small job that I don't want to bother a rubber-roofer, plus they are all so busy right now. I appreciate the help. Thanks

There is lap caulk and water stop that would work as a bandaid. You can also flash tape larger areas if needed.

If it has been leaking for a while and recovery board is soaked(feel around where you find the leak for soft spots) there may be rot and- or mold/mildew brewing in there. Just something to warn customer about so it does not come back to you.

Today was a good day to find leaks
