Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Boulder, CO Posts: 21	Shakes: When To Recommend Replacement For shakes and shingles: My understanding is that a shake roof should be replaced instead of repaired when a certain percentage of shakes are bad (split, decayed curled, cupped, etc.). What is that percentage?
