Roofing Price

I starrted roofing 15 yrs ago. Than after several yrs. I went to carpentry for the next 10 yrs so im out of the loop. Did roofs as a side thing.
So i'm building my own house now and just today i put on the last shingle to the steep stuff.
This roof came in at 47 square of 10/12, 12/12 , 6 long valley's three step down roofs . roughly 200 pcs step flashing.
I'm glad i haven't done this in a while and i forgot about the pain.
I'm just curious on the labor price for something like this.
I live in north carolina
any help with this question will be appreciated

Umm, why would one be concerned with cost if you are doing it on your own house for?
Pay yourself what you think you are worth.

Tell me how long it took. Then I'll tell you. I did one like that for a local charity recently and I charged 60 dollars for the nails, so I would do it for about 60/47 squares something like a buck fitty a square?

It was a legit question. Maybe i will re-word it so i dont get stupid remarks.
a plumber hanging out with roofers. wouldn't expect a plumber to even comment. drink them beers champ

Sorry to say, but I do roofs too. Siding. Framing. Plumbing. Drywall. Painting. decks. Structural repairs. Hell, I even moved a single story house 150' once too. But, alas, I is a dumb plumber.

Oh, by the way, I am licensed too. VA Class "B" with Building, Sewage Disposal, and residential and commercial endorsements.
Just seemed a bit odd there youd ask about how much for shingles if you were doing your own house.

of all the things to try and get a "going rate" for, roofing is the easiest. You can call people from the phone book and get pricing right over the phone. I'm sure this will help in your endevor whatever it might be. sound like a DIY trying to negotiate a contract IMHO. Usually with all that info you would have a very close price.

And as for NonRoofers "hanging out in the roofing forum". There is a header called "New Posts" that will take you too all and none of the particular forums simultaneously. 'Tis the only "Forum" I "hangout" in.

exactly what I thought, but who am I? Just a plumber. You my friend are a builder of fences, a painter, and a deck builder so what do you know about roofing
