Problem: How Do I Bulid Staging On A Metal Roof. Hmmmmm

I cant think of any way of building staging on top of a metal roof, Other than building a structure to go over the peak and down the roof, and building on top of it. Any Ideas would be appreciated!

Down the street there is a masonry company doing some brick restoration on a rather tall church. Around the steeple, a good 20 stories I'd guess, they have had to erect scaffolding on the roof. What they did was hire a roofing company to removing the roofing tiles, lay down some rubber (EPDM) and then set their scaffolding on that.

All the removed tiles have been stacked and staged on the ground for later re-installation. You may consider doing the same. However you probably won't be able to re-use the metal. Ask a roofer who does metal roofing in your area what he suggest and mark his costs into your estimate. Also make sure the customer knows, which might seperate you from the competitors who will just nail into it and caulk the holes when done.
