Re: Price On Gutters,

Dave

We use truss dura trac and a custom gutter machine and would be about
$2,400

But regular k style with hidden hangers around here would be about $750

Re: Price On Gutters,

Oversized ogee with 3" x 4" DS and Raytec hangers would go for around $1,950.00 but others would say they are doing the same work for about 1/2 the price, but the hangers would be 4 ft OC and the thin crud that bends with a light-weight ladder resting on it.

Re: Price On Gutters,

Now that you got some ball-park installed quotes, you may want to consider calling a place like ABC Supply or whichever Roofing/Guttering supply house is near you and see if they can deliver and run off and drop ship the length of gutters you need. It used to be just slightly over $ 1.00 per foot, but I haven't checked recently.

Then, hang them yourself.

I didn't say to Hang Yourself, but rather, "Hang Them Yourself". It is so simple, even a caveman could do it.

Your kidding right, dont they bend real easy, dont they have to put on at certain angles, special tools for the elbows, Im sure your kidding, and making fun of me.

I do what I do best, and thats sell paint jobs, Ill leave the gutter hanging to the pros.

So Edd your basicly telling me hanging gutters is like cutting grass, anyone can do it???? You sound like one of my paint estimates I go on, and the H/o starts off "well I was gonna do it my self but". lol I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I have to wonder if you are sincere, lol

Re: Price On Gutters,

I figure that you are a tradesman and are confident on ladders and know how to eye up a slight pitch to the installation of a full section of gutter.

Yes, it is simple for a person who has the capabilities to do it, but not many home owners would want to.

I was truly being sincere.

It's not the same as when a home owner says it looks so easy, so why should they pay so much. They have never done snything similar, but I assumed you had.

Just watch one install for 1/2 to 1 hour and you will see what I mean.

Special tools?
Tin snips
crimpers
pop rivet gun, maybe
cordless screw gun
zip screws
gutter sealant caulk
tape measure
hammer
tool pouch
small level
hack saw or sawzall

Pretty much all simple tools. Order the lengths. Order the Left and Right End Caps. Order the Inside and Outside Corners. Also, Drop outlets and "A" or "B" style elbows and enough downspout sections to get the expultion of water away from you foundation and I prefer the 3" x 4" downspouts if you have trees nearby.

Thats it. A subcontractor will furnish and install for between $3.00 to $4.00 per foot or more if it is cut up a lot, if you don't want to do it, if you know any gutter guys in your area.
