Need A Roofer's Help

The builder is going to have standing seam tin put on this home.

How can I make this work for the roof guy? Typically I would cut my lay-on barge rafter (sub-fascia) back from the deck about an inch...but that's when the overhang is 2x4s or 2x6s. With these 2x12s, I had to rest them directly on the roof underneath.

Every time I try to envision some kind of flashing overlap, I still come up with a leak point.

Do metal roofers every solder or weld a one piece flashing pan/system for areas like this?

The facial board touching the deck causes a few minutes additional attention for the roofer is all, if their good enough to properly install a valley, or flash around a chimney, etc., than that won't be a big deal.
There shouldn't 'in my opinion' be a need for soldering there, just proper over lapping and fastening of flashing's is all.

Why are the seams of your deck taped?
Just asking because I have never seen that done before.

Me siding this? I don't think so. The builder's brother-in-law might be bidding on it. He's top notch.

I have an addition, a new home roof on ICF, two design projects and a couple of maybes in front of me so I won't miss the siding too much. The job-site is the most panoramic I have ever experienced.

You're right about the ZipWall and ZipRoof system. It's alright. I sprayed the edges with clear coat spray when they first came to the site. Don't let them be exposed to rain too much before they get taped...it will buckle and swell.

Did you just close your eyes and click a random thread to stick that into?
