Need To Pick Ya'lls Brains Again, Sorry

Hey guys, I have a customer that we will be doing a large room addition for soon, the addition will have a flat roof that they would like to use as a future deck. I need to know about a product called "deck king", I'm not a roofer but they are looking to me to advise them on the roof selection.

also, the existing home has slate shingles on it that are starting to become a real problem. they want to redo the roof and are considering a composite slate. I've read alot about them on here but the generally speaking, how do the composites hold up, are there any issues to look out for if using them??
again, any insight would be helpful.

thanks,

thanks,
I had a guy from down the shore do a fiberglass deck for me many years ago. It was for my then chiropractor. He had built this huge atrium connection between his house and the existing detached two car garage. The architect had originally specified a wood deck over a modified roof on top of this atrium entry. I told my chiropractor that I didn't recommend it as debris would get under the wood deck and become a problem. This atrium was desired to look like a medieval castle with a stone veneered notched parapet and everything. The deck contractor. (Herkert coatings IIRC) used a product like this.
