Need help with repair estimate

Hi guys!
Friend of mine called me 2 days ago, his roof is leaking in 2 spots. Seems like first problem is ventilation thing. Roof is about 2/12 or 3/12. So rain and snow come inside because of the low slope (my thought). Second problem is much worse. Those guys who did his roof don't know whats the stepflashing is. NO STEPFLASHING RIGHT NEXT TO THE DORMER, SO I CAN SEE THE WOOD UNDER THE SIDING. NO I&W, NO STEPFLASHING, NOTHING.RRRRRRR Slope is about 2/12 or 3/12 too. What i d do is: take some siding off, take off old shingles, put I&W on the roof and on the wall, put the stepflashing and shingles in the right way, put siding back on the wall. Time consuming but he is my friend and I want it to be done in best way. Dont wanna use blackjack or silicone etc/
Another thing is, he has 6 skylights, and there is no I&W over the top metal frame.??? Is it right?
So. How much you would charge him for
a) replacing ventilation thing and putting a new one
b)fixing dormer(length is about 10 ft)
c)fixing(?) top of the skylights
Thank you.
I'm in ME.

Mike,

If you are not comfortable bidding it fixed price, either give him an hourly rate, or run it through the company you work for, and see if your boss will give you a commission on it.

I would definitely consider a re-roof especially if the right underlayment was not used.this pitch is considered a flat roof and should be roofed as such especially with all of the protusions.Otherwise its like putting perfume on a pig!!

I believe the national average per hour is still 45.00 per hr.

45.00 per hour/per man plus materials assuming you try and repair the roof.

like the above post stated tho,
repairing a flat roof with out the proper under layment is a bad idea,
you can stop the leaks if you know what your doing but they will reocurr in the years to come and than its on you because you were the one who "repaired it".
