MRCA Annual Conference And Expo

Anyone going?

It's only a couple of hours away from us this year so I will end up going. Haven't made the final decision yet though.

I need to nail down when I'm going to go, and register of course. I'll add it to this weeks to do list!

So you coming or what?

Also, not sure if you're interested GT, but a company I used to work for is shutting down. They've got a roof cutter and a few hand leisters they want to sell. $1000.00 for all. Stuff is in Omaha. If I was installing I'd jump, but I'm not, and none of my customers down here want to drive up and pick it up. I'm tempted to and set it in my showroom for $1500.

Anyway let me know, I can get you pics and put you in contact with the guy.

It doesn't look like it at this time, I'm actually contemplating doing the same thing, while this year has been good dollar wise, it has been piss poor personally and finding decent employees wise. I think we will be seeing a lot more of that in this area.

Exactly why I started a fab shop. I have zero desire to deal with running multiple crews on multiple sites anymore.

I'll look at installs on a case by case basis but I don't think I'll ever turn into a full scale roofing company. The headaches and strain on personal life are just completely ****ed.

The labor pool these days just blows. Everyone wants instant gratification, raises before proof of knowledge, "give me the raise and you'll see" type attitudes. No thanks. Can't get new blood to stick around for more than a few months because they can't take the **** of being a laborer.

**** 'em.

Anyway, I hope things get better for you brother. Sorry to hear things are in the **** w/ your guys. I understand how that can carry through and into other areas of life. Keep your head up
