Mega-extended Gutter Drain ("eaves Troughing" -for The Cdns)

I will try to actually stop and take a picture of this home. I was doing 35mph when I thought about snapping this shot.

The gutter down spout is "viagra'd" out from the home and shoots rain water out onto the street. I don't see how this can pass any EPA erosion control laws.

Is that a second floor door opening onto an unsecured roof? Seems like that house's got multiple problems!

Is that ice hanging off the end of that "gutter"?

Must be some extra strength viagra to keep that up.

That's standard design here in Maine believe it or not. CO's get issued all the
time with that scenario. Makes me ill. I could go one mile from my house and
see 3 homes like that.

I would say also that the fence looks like it's in the road easement.

I like it. It keeps the water from ruining the side of his house.

I would love to have that house!

a little close to the road but i could deal with it.

I was thinking more about his kids' lives than a nebulous "freedom."

what other problems do you see?

besides the ones where you would force a person to spend money?
(Deck railing)

You should call the law on them. maybe make you some money.

Why am I even replying? Just giving you something else to post 15 responses too...

Guess what? Handrails/guardrails are required on stairs. Yes, it's true, you can't protect everyone from everything. However, a little common sense goes a long way. A 10' drop onto concrete might hurt a little more than tumbling down the stairs. And they actually do make gates for staircases so little ones can't hurt themselves.

No, you didn't spell escalators correctly. When typing, the red line under the word should give you a hint...
