Thumbs up

IKO Roof Guard

Hey Guys and Gals,

I was introduced to this new product a couple of days ago.

Used it to do a shed roof, and I am THOROUGHLY impressed with it!

I wanted some of your opinions if you have used it and cost of the product in your markets.

I haven't been able to find it locally, but I have a lead, and if I can find an adequate supply of the stuff, I'll never use tar-paper/roofing felt again! Let me know what you's guys think! No more slipping and sliding or torn paper on the roof!

Re: IKO Roof Guard

They have all dumped IKO around the south shore and cape cod. They were big with the cheap builders for a while but you get zero warranty or service. Better to use a decent manurfacturer like GAF or Certainteed ,at least they stand behind there products.

We just dumped certainteed, siding anyways, cause the rep basicly told us to F' off in regards to a warranty claim on 6 year old siding, and he does a horrible job representing the company because he pretty much spends most of his day hiding and having as little interaction with people as possible. Even the suppliers around here are getting away from certainteed siding cause of the representation

Re: IKO Roof Guard

Service after the sale does make a difference and it does depend on the sales rep. My rep from IKO I've known for about 20 years and he's help me on Warranties more then once. My Mastic rep is great too. In the past I sold CT roofing and had no help on warranties.

My the way we use Roofguard with IKO Gold Ice & Water shield.
