According to the Kankakee Daily Journal. Iko opened its new 40 million dollar 150,000 square feet shingle manufacturing plant in south Kankakee on Thursday. It will handle midwest distribution to retailers. I guess thats now going to be the prefered shingle here in K3 County. I didn't even know they were building a plant but i never get to south Kankakee.

Yeah, Iko had a plant in Bedford Park IL, near Midway Airport for many, many years. They probably got some good tax breaks and enterprise zone abatements from Kankakee if they spent that much to build and move there.
How's the business growth doing there, 747? |
