How To Replaced Damaged Shingles?
how do i go about replacing about 20 damaged shingles on my house?

When it gets warm get a flat bar and slowly work them up. You can usually pop the nails in the shingle you are pulling. Let the tar spots seperate slowly...Sometimes a putty knife will help with the tar.

This sounds like a question for www.diyrepair.com the sister site to this forum for home owners. Are you a home owner or contractor?
However what Copus said is exactly right. I'd like to add that when nailing the new shingles takes finesse and not to nail through the overlying shingle. Single hold up the overlying shingle with your thumb and set the nail. It's tricky at first but once you've done a few it's second nature. |
