Re: Homeowner Doesn't Want To Pay

Yeah well aorund here the Judges are so fed up with small claims, I think they toss a cion to make a decision on who wins.
The guy I took to court told the judge that I did not do work for him like fix a door and wrap a garage door, which I might addd was not in the contract after all sides of the house were done he decides to side the basement walls ( the house was a split foyer with a walk out garage. I told hm that the siding was not going going to match up with the upper part of the house.
He had his freind come up and fix a bay window in the house and they cobbled that up he also had freinds and relitives come up to try and help I told him that Price no matter who is there. I end up getting kicked off the job stuck paying for his materils, and then you go to court and Iki had to pay his Lawyer yet now how stupid is that, Oh don't worry some day I wil catch up with this clown.

Re: Homeowner Doesn't Want To Pay

Hey Chrwright, I do have the wording in my contracts it states all the work to be done in a timely and proffetional manor. it states that when the Job is completed the bill is to be paid and if it is not paid the consiquences for not paying. now again this guy I have known for 30 years we live 2 houses apart. we have been freinds for all that time. But business is business and freindship stays home I gave him a price ( a big break) the day it was done I put a statement in his mail box ( because he retiered from Deeres and still works there)so some days he is gone but 2 weeks straight. Then he does come down with the money and said all I had to do was ask after 3 statements and threat to take him to court!

I'm pretty sure it's illegal for you to put anything in his mailbox.

That's what stamps and doorbells are for.
