High End Metal Roofing

I presently have a roofing business that only does ashphalt shingles. I am looking to get into the high end aluminum shake panels and also standing seam steel that i can provide the home owner or commercial building with a lifetime warranty. The problem i am having is finding a manufactuer who will sell me these aluminum panels that look like shingles, shakes and tile. The one place i have found which is classic metals already has a roofing business in michigan whos territory is the entire state of Michigan. Any names of manufactuers or dealers i could buy this product from whould be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rhino Roofing

Re: High End Metal Roofing

Actualy, getting the prebent standing seam metal is costly.... I see most people using WeatherLock Roofing.

You can buy the Standing Seam Pan Former and then just buy flat metal, galv. or color coated and the seamer by the roll, and be in biz quick. Save a Ton of money on it.

They are worth their weight in gold.

This is who I went with for my home http://www.wheelingcorrugating.com/ Only a 50 yr. warranty but that should cover my lifetime. I had GIWS put down first and had everything fastened to the Miami-Dade HVWC. Wilma bounced right off of it.

Re: High End Metal Roofing

Thanks for the reply guys. I have a place where i can get the standing seam metal with the roll former but what im looking for is a place that manufacuers the 48in by 12in panels of aluminum that looks like tile, shingles, and shakes. if you put three w's and a .com on either end of classicmetalroofingsystems it will give you an example of what im looking for. I can not use them because a company in Michigan already has the entire state of as their territory. Ideas would be appreciated where i could get this type of roofing.

Thanks,
Rhino Roofing

My understanding is 'they'( dealer) sell the material to do it your self types. Could one of your options be to stress your companies installation and in the case of the aluminum have them ( home owner) get the material for you.

There are other metal roofs besides aluminum that people go with. Just know what you are talking about and know how to put in on should get you in the market.

Teetor... is the stuff on your house what's pictured on the home page of you link? We call that "barn tin" in my area. It's very popular on homes too, and I think it looks nice. Nothing like being lulled to sleep with rain on a tin roof. That's the best.

md, that's the stuff. I had them order the 26ga. after I saw it being used on some upscale restaurants and marinas. The extra ridges prevent the 'oil-canning' that you get with 5V and standing seam.

It was baptised by Wilma and came through with flying colors. Also lowered the ins. bill.

Are your fasteners exposed?

Re: High End Metal Roofing

md, drying in with Grace is fairly common here. The real selling point for me was seeing 2 buildings go through Francis, Son of Ivan and Jeanne with nothing but Grace for protection.

roofwiz, the fasteners are exposed. Lots and lots of them. The only way that this roof is going anywhere is by taking the house with it. The house is block with poured corners, intersections and topcap.

you have a roof of screws.when those little neoprene washers on the heads of those screws start to dry and fall out you'll have some problems.ever been on an older metal roof?they are easy to spot, caulk on every nail or screw head.
I prefer metal roofing http://www.englertinc.com/roofing1024.aspx over barn tin anyday.

Re: High End Metal Roofing

metal roofing .com has lots of info
We use Berridge for our 24 ga steel coil, very high quality, good service & low price. S&H will hurt you a lot if you order the pans pre-formed.
New Tech makes a very good machine for the money, very reliable.

Why do you want Aluminum? There are lots of companies who make steel roofing in the profiles you asked about.
Kassel & Irons is a good one, looks like weathered Cedar.

Have you looked at any stone-coated steel?
