Gutter Supplier

Help!! We install Seamless Gutter, Soffit, Fascia, etc...we have been looking mostly online for suppliers and have not had much luck at all finding suppliers. We have dealt with Englert and Virginia Gutter, Englerts' prices tend to be on the high side and Virginia Gutter really **ssed me off today. ...as I usually do...I wrote a check out to Virgina today, left it in the usual spot, but, ooops, I shorted the check by .33 cents!!, so they did not drop my materials, they did not even bother to call me!! Needless to say, I truly do not want to continue to give them my hard earned $$. Occasionally we have dealt with Home Depot and Lowes, but neither one carries coils of aluminum. We live in central Pennsylvania. It would make my day if anyone would care to share their suppliers with us

Re: Gutter Supplier

I don't know if they are in your area but we buy from Spectra Metals. They are based out of Georgia and they have good prices and service. IM me if you are interested and I'll see if I can get the main office number. The warehouse I buy from is out of Indianapolis.

I think if my supplier did this to me, especially if we had a long working relationship, I'd be ready to sit down with them for a short talk.

Me: "Is this ever gonna happen again?"

Them: "Well, your check was $0.33 short."

Me: "How does it feel to have lost a long time customer in less than 6 words? Have a nice day."

Re: Gutter Supplier

More Like This:

Double: "Is this ever gonna happen again?"
Them: "Is what ever gonna happen again?"
Double: "You know what I am talking about."
Them: "Oh, you mean your inability to write a check for full payment?"
Double: "No, not that...."
Them: "Then what?"
Double: "Not dropping of my material that I paid for."
Them: "What are you talking about, you didn't pay in full, you shorted us."
Double: "Technically yes , but..."
Them: "But? But? There's no Buts about it."
Double: "You just lost my business!"
Them: "Hey buddy, we don't care about the accounts that don't want to pay for our service."
Double: "Then I am out of here!"
Them: "Why you still sitting here?"
Double: "It takes me time to get up, my big head gets me all out of balance."

Re: Gutter Supplier

Seriously over $"0.33 If I were the supplier I'd have dropped your materials and sent a second invoice for the $0.33. If I were in your position I'd be pissed. I'd have expected them to call me rather than just leaving without dropping the materials. This would screw up my whole schedule to have a crew ready to go and then materials are a no show. That's what would piss me off the most.

Re: Gutter Supplier

The supplier does not seem to care about you and your needs.
If it was me I would not care for them to much either.
There are plenty of suppliers.

Re: Gutter Supplier

One of those cases where somebody utterly lacks common sense.

How freakin much did it cost to load the truck and send a driver to the job site and back. And thats all wasted time, gas, etc for 33 freakin cents.
How much do you suppose it cost them to send that truck out and back, load it and unload it. I'm thinking that 33 cents cost them ,what ,$100? more?

Re: Gutter Supplier

Not sure where in Central Pa your located.

I do not do much gutter, but I use Erie Materials for most of my siding. I know they stock the coil and they treat me good on vinyl prices. They are mostly north central pa, but they recently open a location in Williamsport Pa and do deliver in a pretty wide area. As a matter of fact that is what I like about them most. If I call today and ask for something it is either delivered same day or next.
