Gazebo roof

Hey roofers, I am building a octogon gazebo. I plan to use 3 tab shingles on the roof. I also planned to use cut tabs for the 8 ridges. How do I finish the peak.

This might help, May not show up but I capped every other side first, then capped the least visible of the sides remaining and worked both opposing sides, finishing with the "front" Trim top caps for best appearance. I capped top of cone with ice and water shield before final set of caps.

Usually it is something decorative in a cone shape to place on the top.

If your going to go metal cap then dont make it round, make it have 8 sides.
Round goes on round work. flat with sides goes on flat with sides.
