Flat Roof Repairs

So I am replacing this composite roof, but a section of the place has a flat roof on it. We arent replacing it, but it is leaking in one spot. Whats the best way to fix leaks in flat roofs? It seems to be just a crack about 4 inches long thats not wide at all. Can you just silicone it or put tar over it? Thanks

Re: Flat Roof Repairs

Is that a real question? No information like type of roof, age of roof, etc? What kinds of answers do you hope for?

Yes?
No?
Maybe?

Its just a white roof, 20 years old, it was resealed 2 years ago, looks like whoever did it did a horrible job. Im not a flat roofer, I just do composites and metal. Just was going to fix it while I was up there if it was simple.

Is it PVC?

TPO?

Rubber?

something else?

Whatever it is, silicone or tar on top will certainly render this a horrible patch job.

Re: Flat Roof Repairs

I'd stick some bubble gum in there, and send them a bill!!

Kidding,

I don't know much about flat roofing systems either. But I've used NPC900 on about everything and it always seems to hold up.

But try the bubble gum first

Re: Flat Roof Repairs

We are not trying to break your balls.

It is just too vague of a question to give a valid answer.
