Finding Roof Josts On Flat Roof?

Any idea on how to locate roof joists on a newly done flat roof? I'm building a deck over top and need to make sure I hit them when I screw down my sleepers.

Kidding....But seriously, how to you find the joists. Will a stud sensor work? I have to have breaks for drainage in the rigid foam sleepers, so I'd rather have them fall in the bay of the joists.

No - he's a little smarter than that & he did say he was kidding

Can you see where the joists are from underneath or use the sensor there? - pull a few quick measurments

Nailing pattern on the fascia boards, find a few, and confirm 16'' centers
