Energy Rebates

Is anyone familiar with a company called National Energy Rebate Fund? Apparently they recruit contractors and have them pitch their program to customers. The customer can receive a rebate(after a four year waiting period) if they choose energy efficient roof/siding/windows ect... on their home. The program is funded by the contractors and the money is put in an escrow account. The customer receives no rebate if they do not follow strict instructions and guidelines. The company depends on the customer NOT following the strict instructions and guidelines....they call this slippage. Seems shady but not certain.

Re: Energy Rebates

Just Google it. It's another scam.

For real rebates/certification contact your local power/gas companies. Government incentives sites will end with a .gov .

Re: Energy Rebates

yeah you shouldn`t rely on the installing company for energy savings payment ,that`s gov`t,in line with energy star or LEEDS tax credits, which if you do have the right stuff installed, you should still be eligible for.Talk to your accountant about it
